A reminder to you about the importance of student attendance during the October Count Window. This year, the official October Count Window runs from September 24 – October 7, with the official count day on Tuesday, October 1.

Why does this matter? Each year, school funding is determined based on student attendance and enrollment during this window. Your student’s on-time presence directly impacts the resources, programs, and opportunities we can provide for all students at Hidden Lake Secondary School.

To celebrate and encourage strong attendance, we are offering special incentives:

• 100% Attendance Drawing (Sept. 24 – Oct. 7): All students who attend every day during the window will be entered into a drawing to win a television.

• On-Time Count Day Drawing (Oct. 1): All students who arrive on-time at 8:00am and remain all day on October 1 will be entered into a drawing to win a laptop and iPad.

We encourage all families to prioritize on-time attendance during this critical time. Every student matters, every day counts, and together we can ensure our school receives the support needed to help all students succeed.
