Important Dates

  • November 17, 2025
    • Meeting @ 11:30 am - Media Center at Hidden Lake
    • Josten’s discusses measurements for caps and gowns, provides catalogs and order packets for announcements, rings, etc. Counselor available to discuss college financial aid (FAFSA) and scholarship opportunities. Place order online at www.jostens.com
  • January 16, 2026 
    • Deadline to place graduation unit orders.
    • If you are planning on participating in this years graduation ceremony, orders must be placed by this date. This will give Ms. Jazmin a better idea of how many people are planning on walking at this years ceremony.
  • April 27, 2026
    • Meeting in HLSS media center at 11:30am & deadline to let the office know if you are planning to participate in the graduation ceremony.
    • Students wanting to be added to the graduation line up after this date will not be eligible to participate.
  • May 8, 2026
    • Prom: More details coming soon!
  • May 15, 2026
    • LAST DAY FOR ALL WORK TO BE TURNED IN FOR ALL SENIORS (by 3:30 pm)
  • May 18 and 19, 2026
    • 2:45 pm - 4:00 pm 
    • Required Senior Checkout at Hidden Lake Secondary School
    • Cap & gown distribution, Chromebook return, all debts must be paid in full. Any student receiving a 2026 diploma must complete checkout process.
  • May 20, 2026 
    • REQUIRED graduation practice at HLSS gym, 2:45 pm - 4:00 pm
  • May 21, 2026
    • GRADUATION, 10:00 am

Graduation Ceremony - May 21

We are pleased to announce that Hidden Lake has been invited to return to Ellie Caulkins Opera House for the fourth consecutive year.

The ceremony will take place on Thursday, May 21st, 2026. It will begin promptly at 10:00 am.

Venue Information

  • Families should plan ample time for parking at the Performing Arts Complex downtown and making it to the Opera House as well as through security.
  • Balloons, noise makers, and other similar items will be confiscated by security and the Denver Police Department. Please do not bring these items to graduation. These items will also delay your entry into the Opera House.

Student Information

  • For students, transportation will be provided and REQUIRED from HLSS to the Opera House.
  • All students must be at HLSS by 7:00 am as the bus will be leaving the school at 7:15am to ensure time for students to practice at the venue.
  • We ask that students do not bring any belongings with them. The security team at Ellie Caulkins Opera House will have to review and go through all of the procedures there with students and their belongings. We wish to minimize the time it will take to get students through security. Students will not be allowed to bring purses and other items on stage during graduation. The secured area for belongings will be the bus should students bring items with them. Thank you in advance for your understanding.
  • Graduates not attending the ceremony can pick up diplomas in June. Dates- TBD

*Students may NOT decorate their graduation cap or wear graduation items (ex: stoles, homemade sashes, medals, etc.) that the school has not provided for them. Failure to comply may result in permission revoked to participate in ceremony.
