A Message from Principal Diehl

Dear Hidden Lake Community,
I want to take a moment to look back on what has been an absolutely phenomenal year. Our community has experienced so many incredible highs, and it is all thanks to the dedication, hard work, and heart that our students, families, and staff bring to our school every single day. We truly are lucky to have the best community around.
We achieved some major milestones together this year that deserve to be celebrated. Our students showed up ready to learn, leading us to an impressive 80% attendance rate for the school year. Our incredible graduating class also put in massive effort toward their futures, earning nearly $200,000 in scholarships and grants. To top it all off, we capped the year with a truly spectacular graduation ceremony at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House. Seeing our graduates walk across that stage is a memory we will all cherish.
While we are taking the summer to rest and recharge, we are also looking forward to next year and finding ways to keep building off of our recent academic gains. To support our learning environment, enhance school safety, and maximize instructional time, we will be introducing a few new updates in the fall. This will include the addition of a metal detector at our entrance, a new hallway pass system called ElasticPass, and Yondr pouches for cell phones. These tools will help us ensure a secure, focused, and distraction-free environment where our academic progress can continue to grow.
We are already preparing for a fantastic launch to the new school year, and we want to make sure you have a key date on your calendar. Please join us for our Back to School Night on August 10th from 3:30 to 5:30pm. This will be a wonderful opportunity to reconnect, meet our staff, and prepare for the exciting year ahead.
Thank you all for an amazing and unforgettable year. Please have a safe, fun, and relaxing summer break. We cannot wait to see you in August, ready to achieve even greater things together.
Warmly,
Richard Diehl
Principal
